A very good pattern @vikisews #vikisews_kaia is the shirt pattern you need and will sew it multiple times in all different fabrics ..trust me!
I tried both Cynthia as well as kaia and the difference is in the fact that this one has a little less ease and is more fitted which is great for a silk blouse if you ask me...hence the fabric choice
Pattern is very easy to follow and I did not do any adjustments…just sewn it and warn the same day to a birthday party.
I really love this dress style and see it becoming a favourite already. I needed minimal adjustments since @vikisews allows you to select the pattern by height. That meant all I had to do was my usual 1cm sloping shoulder adjustment and a 2.5cm narrow back adjustment.

I honestly never thought I'd be interested in making/ wearing a midi length pencil skirt as it's never been my style but this pattern changed the game for me. The high waist, the giant slit and the fact that it's fully lined, just makes it feel so luxurious and makes me feel so elegant and sexy. I love how you can dress it down like I did there with a cropped T and trainers but switch it up with a bodysuit and heels and you're ready to party.
I didn't manage to get the invisible zipper invisible but my local fabric shop lovely ladies told me that I needed a special foot for my machine so that makes sense haha.
The lining would have been easier to attach than it was if I had chosen a slightly thicker fabric but overall it was a very enjoyable sew and only took me 4 hours.
The main fabric is a polyester suiting fabric I got in Brazil
